Subfloor Replacement Project for a Very Old House Flip in Austin, Texas

As part of a full renovation and house flipping project in Austin, Texas, our team completed a major subfloor replacement. We removed the damaged flooring, inspected the framing, reinforced the structure where needed, and installed new OSB subfloor panels to create a strong, level base for the future finished flooring. This type of work is one of the most important steps in bringing an older property back to life and preparing it for resale.

Project Overview

Phase 1: Demolition of the Damaged Subfloor

Our team completed full demolition of the old subfloor in the affected areas, removing deteriorated wood panels and exposing the framing below for a full inspection.

Phase 4: Fastening and Leveling the New Subfloor

We installed high-quality luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring throughout both rooms. LVP is a popular flooring solution in Central Texas homes due to its:

Each plank was installed with proper spacing and alignment to allow for natural expansion and contraction. Clean transitions were installed where needed to maintain a seamless flow between spaces.
