Start with the result

A cleaner, brighter interior with every finish working together.

The goal was not to refresh one isolated room. It was to create a consistent apartment—from smooth ceilings and walls to the bathroom, doors, closets and windows.

Popcorn texture was removed from the ceilings, including the vaulted living-room ceiling. The walls were sanded, repaired and refined to a Level 5 finish before primer and paint. New doors, insulated vinyl windows and organized closet storage completed the interior update.

The bathroom became the feature space: a new acrylic bathtub, large-format tile, glass shower panel, updated fixtures, vanity and smart toilet were installed as one coordinated system.

More than a bathroom remodel. The visible result came from coordinating demolition, surface preparation, installation and finish work in the correct sequence across the apartment.

Complete project scope

What changed across the apartment.

Each stage supported the next one, reducing repeated preparation and keeping the finished surfaces consistent.

01

Smooth ceilings

Popcorn texture was removed throughout the apartment. Cracks and damaged areas were repaired, skim-coated, sanded, primed and painted for a clean smooth finish.

02

Level 5 walls & paint

Walls were repaired, sanded and skim-coated to a Level 5 finish, then primed and painted for a consistent surface across the rooms.

03

Complete bathroom

Full demolition, new acrylic tub, wet-area preparation, large-format wall and floor tile, vanity, fixtures, glass panel and smart toilet.

04

New interior doors

Existing doors were replaced, aligned and adjusted, with hardware, casing transitions, caulking and finish work completed around each opening.

05

Closet storage

Closets received organized storage systems with shelving and hanging space planned to make better use of the available footprint.

06

Three new windows

Old aluminum windows and frames were removed, openings were prepared and sealed, and new insulated vinyl windows were installed.

07

Laundry restoration

The laundry area was repaired and refreshed with new flooring, wall and ceiling preparation, paint and water-heater drain-pan work.

08

Repairs & cleanup

Localized trim and frame repairs, construction debris removal, final touch-ups and a project walkthrough completed the renovation.

09

One coordinated plan

Different specialists worked in an organized sequence while Kirill remained the homeowner’s direct point of contact throughout the project.

Behind the finished surfaces

The result started with controlled demolition and careful preparation.

Good renovation work is easier to trust when you can see what happened before the paint, tile and fixtures went in.

How the project stayed organized

Several scopes. One renovation sequence.

Bathroom, ceiling, wall, window, door and closet work were coordinated so new finishes were not damaged by work that should have happened earlier.

01

Protection and demolition

Work areas were protected, old bathroom finishes and windows were removed, and debris was controlled.

02

Repairs and rough preparation

Open surfaces, plumbing locations, window openings and damaged wall areas were addressed before finishes.

03

Ceilings and wall refinement

Popcorn removal, skim coating, Level 5 wall work and sanding created the foundation for paint.

Installations

05

Paint, details and walkthrough

Primer, finish coats, caulking, silicone, touch-ups, cleaning and final review brought the project together.

Apartment renovation FAQ

Questions homeowners ask before starting.

This completed project had a $19,500 labor scope, with materials separate. Your price depends on apartment size, existing conditions, rooms involved, finish level, access and the need for licensed specialists.
Yes. Coordinating the sequence is often more efficient because demolition and window work can happen before final wall preparation and painting. Some stages can overlap when different specialists can work safely without interfering with each other.
A Level 5 finish uses a skim coat across the wall surface before final sanding, primer and paint. It helps create a smoother, more uniform appearance, especially under strong natural or directional light.
For labor-only projects, homeowners purchase materials directly or reimburse the exact receipt cost without a contractor markup. Responsibilities for selection, ordering and delivery are clarified during planning.
Requirements vary. Window replacement, exterior-facing work, working hours, elevator or access rules and debris handling may require HOA approval. Those responsibilities should be confirmed before scheduling the affected work.
